Friday 27th November; my life changed forever. It started as your average Friday. David’s carer came in at 8am to get him up and I went off to the gym. Nothing unusual. I came back from the gym and spent 4 hours on the phone trying to get tickets for………………………………….
Waiting for Nicky to arrive for our first date evoked a lot of emotions, but mainly excitement, trepidation, and hope. It’s 17 weeks until we get married. 17 WEEKS!!!! How did that happen?!? We’ve still got so much to organise, but recently life has been revolving around sailing and our trip to the World Championships in Holland. David finished in 7th overall (pretty amazing stuff! Just like anyone else, we love going away: fancy hotels with glitzy restaurants, romantic evenings watching sunsets on the beach, breakfast in bed and a shower big enough to Zumba in? Yup, all that and more! But the reality is that going away for us, is considerably more complicated. At………………………………….
